About Artist Elena Coby Jenkins:

Elena Coby Jenkins, a Seattle native artist who relocated to St Louis 10 years ago, has always been fascinated by the stories eyes can tell: how without words, one can look into another’s soul, and physically feel the exchange that occurs at that moment. This is the passion that drives Elena to create portraits that connect emotionally with the viewer, while capturing the essence of her view of the American experience. Though she has taken a few courses, Elena is primarily a self-taught artist who creates portraits in many media, including oil, oil pastel, charcoal, watercolor, and clay.
